Classical pianist based in London, Floriana Iovino started her academic studies with Marco Tezza, at “A. Pedrollo” Conservatory in Vicenza, Italy.
Following her brilliant graduation in 2015 she got admitted to the “Steinway Society” of Verona, where she was awarded with two scholarships, in the class of Federico Gianello. After a few years dedicated exclusively to piano teaching, she attended in 2018 the Master programme at “A. Steffani”, under the guidance of Massimiliano Ferrati, and during the second year she auditioned for Royal College of Music in London, in which, giving the success of the audition, she currently studies in the class of Ilya Kondratiev and Sofya Gulyak.
She attended various masterclasses of renowned pianists such as Benedetto Lupo, Aleksandar Madzar, Filippo Gamba, Boris Berman and Massimiliano Ferrati.
She was awarded in national and international competitions, the latest: Piove di Sacco, A. Salieri, and a special prize in Castrocaro Competition among the best graduates of Italy.
Her teaching method is well balanced between having fun and being focused on results, with the belief that learning with a laugh is always the best choice. In her ten years of experience in teaching, she had pupils of all ages, and she can understand the necessities of very young children, teenagers and adults, therefore the approach and method can be tailored on the personality, the age, and the personal goals of the students.
Public performances are encouraged, but never imposed, and she will make sure to give the pupil all the necessary instruments to be able to perform during concert class, exams, or just a Christmas family reunion!
